Not too sure how to categorize this one, as it’s the first thing like this I’ve done. I made some felted wool fabric today, and sewed up a quickie little heart ornament from it. And, there you go.

I’m just putting this all in as one project, since these all came from the same batch. I had spun up 4 bobbins of yarn throughout the past week, totaling over 18 ounces.
This morning I spun it up, starting with the 4-ply yarn. I got the following 2 skeins of 4-ply, which weighed (in total) 15 3/4 ounces and measured 266 yards:
Then I was able to get a little skein of 3-ply yarn:
When I got down to having only 2 plies left, I did something crazy (for me at least) – I held the plies together like they were one yarn, and then navaho plied them. I pretty much suck at navaho plying, and this was more stressful than usual. Nevertheless, as overspun and sloppy as it turned out to be, I actually think the result is kind of cool. And, it’s a 6-ply yarn!
After I ran out of orange, I navaho plied the final yard or two of the lavender yarn.
All in all, a fun experiment. I’m interested in trying more navaho plying in the future.
