Stuffed panda. Made from basically the same pattern as my Lost Dharma Bear. The fabric I used was leftover upholstery fabric that I used many years ago to make a curtain. The bits around the eyes are scrap wool. Just felt like making a quick little plushie because my motivation to do a larger project has been lacking.

Donkeyhorse! It’s a pattern I drew up, which explains why it was supposed to be a donkey and wound up looking like a horse. Oh well. The mane and tail are made from bits of handspun yarn. It likes rainbows and clouds, and cotton candy.

Wool plushies inspired by the TV show, Lost. Yes, I am that much of a geek, apparently. I made a polar bear (I tried putting a Dharma logo patch on its butt, but it came out kind of sloppy):
John Locke’s kidney:
And my favorite, Sawyer’s fish biscuit:
There may be more Lost-themed crafts in my future – I made a big list of potential ones.

Just 3 more Pointy Kitties. Nothing too exciting about them, except that the white one is made out of some weird slippery non-cotton fabric and was kind of a pain to work with. I’ve got 2 more after these that I need to finish up the hand-sewing too and then I’l be done (unless I decide to do some decoration to them).
It’s Emo Day (I’ll post more about this over on Yarnzombie in a little bit, so I whipped up this little Emo plushie to celebrate! It uses two different pieces of felt that I made and some other pieces of wool for the face and hair (and lonely little emo-tear). I was thinking it could be a pincushion, too, but it gets sad if you stick him with needles.

3 more finished Pointy Kitties. These are the last ones until I get more Polyfil. I’ve got a few more bodies left to sew and stuff, but I think the Great Pointy Kitty Tsunami is slackening off some. I still want to do some embellishments on them, but that can happen whenever.
The above kitty is 40s Kitty, who may become Aviator Kitty. I have some ideas for an Amelia Earhart inspired design, but I’m not sure how motivated I’ll be to actually do it. The fabric used in this one is an embroidered wool/nylon blend.
Made from an odd suede-feeling knit fabric. You can’t tell in this photo, but at the top of the kitty’s head the fabric has a little run in it, like a nylon, so I’ll probably do something to cover that up.
I love the fabric in this one, which is a weird, metallic knit fabric. Unfortunately, this kitty is a little top-heavy and slightly akimbo, so he doesn’t stand up so well. If I decorate this one, it’ll be in a Ziggy Stardust kind of theme.

Got 3 more Pointy Kitties done. I have an additional 3 stuffed, but not sewn up. I’m also now out of polyfil, so I may begin decorating the ones I have made. The kitty above is Aloha Kitty, and was made from leftover fabric from my bedroom curtains.

Apparently, I’m going to be sewing an entire fleet of Pointy Kitties. Here are the next 5 that I’ve done. All are made out of cotton fabric and polyfil, except for Green Velvet Kittie, who was made from silk velvet. I’m in mass assembly mode right now, so I’ll do faces when I feel like doing detail work, but I think they look pretty cool faceless, so I figure they’re complete enough to list as an FO.
Green Velvet Kitty had to be sewn by hand, since the velvet did not want to feed through the machine. I almost just said ‘screw it,’ and tossed the pieces I had cut, but I figured I’d give hand-sewing a try. Wasn’t crazy about it, but at least the kitty holds together.
I’m making more of these. Stay tuned.

After the Scary Alien Kitty catastrophe, I had to make something that would make me feel better. I used the cute pattern from Wee Wonderfuls for the Pointy Kitty, which has been something I’ve wanted to make for the past 2 years now. So here’s my first Pointy Kitty, Japanese Lantern Kitty. Cotton quilting fabric, face is wool bits, stuffed with polyfil. Her eyes remind me of Snowball II.
