It’s really cold and crappy today and for the next few days. We are driving to Jacki’s parents tomorrow staying there for a few days then going down to see my mom and Bob. Nothing quite as fun as driving in really cold windy possibly snowy weather. Oh well. Dad this is for you….

Update: Here is what the weather service is saying for or drive tomorrow now….

A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 15. Wind chill values as low as -25. West wind between 11 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

So I finally have my new laptop working right. Not thinking that I’ll be buying a Toshiba again anytime soon or ever. This thing would lock up at reboot almost every time and I’d have to us the restore disk to get it going again. After trying everything else I could think of I finally formatted the drive and reinstalled everything. That just by itself took about 11 hours. It does seem to be working better now. At least the crashes are unpredictable. The one thing I do like about Vista is the stupid little widget thing. I keep it on the right side of the desktop just for fun….

Ellie loves this laptop! This laptop belongs to a guy I work with. I was trying to fix it for him to no avail. Ellie loves it tho. There is a bit of a dead spot on the audio that I clipped out myself swearing. :)

I’m warning you. Don’t do it! Unless of course you like dwarf tranny Sarah Palin videos. You have been warned. It’s under the fold and AWESOME.

Got the new video card up and running and man is this thing great. Shouldn’t have any problem playing Fallout 3 on this :) Now if it would just come out already. I ended up putting in an EVGA GeForce 260 GTX. I just managed to squeeze this monster into the case. Check it out…

So after being without internet for a couple days because of Ike, now the video card craps out on us. I’ve always liked HP computers, but this one has given me a lot of problems. I’ve had to replace and CD drive, power supply and now the video card. I’ll say one thing for it. When it FAILS it fails big. Makes funny smells and crash like hell. Anyway…….

That is whats left of the fan for the video card. I know some people are going to tell me it’s full of dust and should have been cleaned regularly. I would have if it would have been somewhere I could have seen it. It hung upside down. So get off my back already.

I’ll be getting a new card tomorrow. Until then Jacki is running on a VERY OLD card I managed to scrap up.

I’m sick. This sucks. It’s been a while since I’ve been really sick like this. The worst part is that I know who I got it from. My conductor last trip was sick and didn’t have the courtesy to stay home. So I was trapped in a 10 foot by 10 foot are with this sick motherfucker for the trip up and back. Your going to pay for this Sugar Bear.

So I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning out the garage. That is about as fun as you can imagine. I also tidied up the attic a bit. Put up some more shelving and fixed some flooring up there. I have more to do today and I need to mow the yard for the first time. I hate mowing.

Anyway in the midst of cleaning we had some running around to do and Jacki was going to take some film in to CVS. For some reason I remembered that I had an old disposable camera in a drawer. So we shot up the remaining 19 pictures an took it in to be developed. This camera was a Kodak Max Sport disposable camera. It was one of the waterproof jobs and I think that was why I got it. I think I got this camera in 2000 and took it with me on my National Guard AT to Fort Polk. Apparently there wasn’t much to take pictures of since I only took 4.

Thats me looking like a complete douche with my sleeves up.
